This course is to teach basic operation of the Sysmex CS-2500 system. This course will cover a system overview, all maintenance, sample processing, QC processing, calibration, and abnormal results troubleshooting.

Upon completion of this course, the participant will be able to:

  • Identify major hardware components
  • Perform the steps to start up the system
  • Navigate Software Toolbar shortcut buttons
  • Prepare reagents and QC for sample processing.
  • Perform Daily Maintenance. Create a user defined maintenance
  • Describe the on-board stability for reagents
  • Load Reagents on reagent table and diluent table
  • Load QC using SLD mini cup and C rack
  • Identify different Reagent Messages on Reagents screen
  • Identify main areas of Reagent screen
  • Process QC. Locate QC results and Print
  • Process samples in normal mode using a Host computer
  • Process samples manually
  • Identify Sample Volume errors
  • Perform Printing and Exporting of Joblist results
  • Identify key areas of the Joblist screen
  • Identify key areas of a normal reaction curve.
  • Perform calibration. Identify information on Package Inserts and Application sheets.
  • Troubleshoot analysis errors.
  • Perform Weekly, Monthly Maintenance.
  • Replace the Halogen lamp.
  • Perform a data backup of the system.
  • Troubleshoot hardware errors and log a corrective action.

This course is for Basic EXL 200 / EXL LM or Xpand with QCC PowerPak users. The course includes lecture and hands-on exercises emphasizing daily operation. Students are introduced to basic operation, maintenance and instrument troubleshooting.

Upon completion of this course, the participant will be able to:

  • Navigate Software
  • Perform Daily, Weekly, Monthly and as Needed Maintenance
  • Process samples and QC material
  • Interpret and report test results
  • Calibrate and interpret calibration results
  • Perform Basic Troubleshooting
