This course is a comprehensive program designed for the experienced user. The course was designed to teach advanced skills needed to maintain and troubleshoot the Dimension Vista® System.

Upon completion of this course, the participant will be able to:

  • Identify external and internal components.
  • Navigate and describe Diagnostic software screens and their functions.
  • Describe the Probe Test and list the steps to resolve a probe test failure.
  • Describe V-LYTE® IMT System Principles and troubleshooting steps.
  • Describe proper sample handling procedures.
  • Identify and describe required maintenance of the Water Purification System/Millipore (WPM) and resolution of common issues.
  • Summarize the preparation for Off-Peak Activities.
  • Perform Periodic Maintenance.
  • Navigate process error screens.
  • Locate potential jam areas.
  • Utilize appropriate diagnostic screens.

DIMENSION VISTA SYSTEMS ADVANCED QC TROUBLESHOOTING OPERATOR TRAINING

The Dimension Vista® Systems Advanced QC Troubleshooting workshop requires basic operational knowledge of the Vista as well as a minimal understanding of basic quality control (QC) practices. This workshop is for operators requiring additional knowledge in QC as it applies to the Dimension Vista Systems.

Upon completion of this course, the participant will be able to:

  • Describe common misconceptions regarding QC practice in clinical chemistry
  • Determine if a QC result is out of range due to an instrument problem or the QC product.
  • Identify when to process urine electrolyte QC and to correctly perform an IMT Advanced Clean.
  • Configure QC products, QC ranges and calibration triggers in the Dimension Vista System Advanced software.
  • Describe QC matrix and identify actions used to confirm a QC shift due to matrix.
  • Schedule patient Lot to Lot Crossover testing.
  • Identify resources available for problem solving QC issues in the clinical chemistry laboratory.
